X-Static Records

X-Static Records is an independent record label located in the Orlando, Florida area – Focusing on the Pop/Dance, Freestyle, (select) Hip Hop and Modern Rock genrés.

X-Static Records was formed in 2004 by Marty True.  He was bitten by the “industry bug” at the young age of 16, when he and a friend in the radio business started a mobile DJ service called “Power Jamn Productions”.  Unknown at the time, this company was the start of a life-long passion of both music and the industry of music.  Over the years, Power Jamn Productions branched out into nightclub promotions and eventually into artist management.  After having great success with managing artists, Marty went on to work at other record labels to gain vital experience for what was to come.  In 2004, Marty decided it was time to take his experience in the industry and create a label that would cater to artists on many different levels while offering the consumer something that has been missing from today’s music scene… and so X-Static Records was born.

X-Static Records prides itself in the fact that we are one of the few labels left that is interested in raw talent and is not afraid to invest time into artist development.  Part of what is missing in the industry today is that very thing.

The Internet has made it possible for artists to self-promote and even self-distribute.  While that is a great thing, it has also created a situation where most labels now look for those artists that have created their own self-worth in terms of  sales.  Unfortunately, many labels no longer search out raw talent and develop those artists, they have taken the easy road of signing only those artists that have a proven sales record.

X-Static Records is all about artist development and using our experience in the business and our marketing and promotion skills to help build careers…
